Room categories

What it is

The types of room the hostel has, such as single or shared.

Why it matters

Keeps fees and bed allocation consistent across rooms.

When to use it

Administrators set up room types that rooms and fees then use.

How to get here

1. Sign in as Administrator (see Signing in).
2. In the left menu, click Hostel to open it.
3. Click Room categories.

What you see

• The list has these columns: Name, Code, Default beds, Features, Status, Actions. Click a column name to sort by it.

Buttons on this screen

• New category — opens a form to add a new one. See Filling in the form below.

Using the list

Type in the search box to find a row. Use filters to narrow the list. Click a row to open it. More in Lists.
