Hostel expenses

What it is

A register of hostel running costs such as food, gas and repairs.

Why it matters

Tracks what the hostel spends, kept separate from the school's accounts.

When to use it

Hostel staff record each cost, and the warden checks the totals.

Administrator

How to get here

1. Sign in as Administrator (see Signing in).
2. In the left menu, click Hostel to open it.
3. Click Expenses.

What you see

• The list has these columns: Date, Description, Category, For, Amount, Actions. Click a column name to sort by it.

Buttons on this screen

• New expense — opens a form to add a new one. See Filling in the form below.

Using the list

Type in the search box to find a row. Use filters to narrow the list. Click a row to open it. More in Lists.
